Our New Study in Balsam Poplar Supports "Central Marginal Hypothesis"
New study by Andrew Gougherty investigated 7 different models to explain the distribution of heterozygosity in 85 range-wide populations of balsam poplar and found strong support for the Central-Marginal hypothesis, sometimes also called the Abundant-Center hypothesis.
